Sole Custody: This plan gives only one parent the right to make decisions about their child, without needing to inform the other parent. This includes decisions related to medical records, school reports, extracurricular activities and more.

Physical or Residential: This situation is when the child mainly resides with one parent, while still sharing time with the other, non-residential parent. You may be awarded shared residences with the parents having the ability to define that in their agreement. 

Birds Nest: This is when the children involved only live in one home, with the parents taking turns living there, but never at the same time. This helps the children ease into the adjustments of the new life, as this is normally a temporary circumstance. 

Shared Parenting Plan: Each plan for this is unique, but it involves both parents having equal time with the children. This requires a definitive plan but gives everyone a chance to see each other as much as possible.
